Diet of Worms

After posting his 95 Thesis on the church door, Martin Luther faced trial at the Diet of Worms and possible excommunication or worse! To avoid being burned as a heretic he was asked to 'RECANT' or take back his beliefs. What would you do? Why? What, if anything, do you believe so strongly in that you wouldn't 'recant' even if it meant death?

We would have not taken back we believed in because its your own thoughts and nobody should tell you how to live your own life. If he would have taken it back he still would have always had the same thoughts about it.

If we were Martin Luther we would not recant because we want to stick with our beliefs. If you really believe in what you say then you should not take back your words.
There isn't anything we strongly believe in that would mean death.

I would take it back but then go into hiding and keep on trying to stop indulgences. I beleive in freedom so strongly that i would die for it.

We think Martin Luther should stay strong with his beliefs even if it means death and also it may be a change for the church and the people who read it.We would do it if we believed that much in it. christian would die for his country and so will McKinley also Dannie will die for the country. samantha would die for her family and dog max

We would have not recanted because if you believe n something you should stick up for what you think is right. We would stand up for our family even if it meant death.

We would not recant because the pope shouldn't be in control of what we believe in. People should be in control of their own thoughts. Just cause Martin could take back what he said doesn't mean it changes his beliefs.

We would not recant or take back our beliefs because other people should not be able to tell you what you should and need to believe in. We deserve to believe in our own beliefs.

We would not recant because we believe in freedom. Every person should have a right to live without fear of dying because of their beliefs. We think that Martin Luther was making the right decisions and should stand up for them.

My table would not recant because we would stick

with what we believe in. If we wrote the books and took a long time doing it, we wouldn't give up and just throw our hard time away.
We would want to stay a hero for the peasants.

We all would not recant because we want to do the right thing. We really want to go to heaven so in that case we would do the right thing.We would not have, even if this had not happened. Also if we defend the lord, he will bless us for what we've done.
