Grendel; Beowulf Retold

We have been studying the epic Anglo Saxon story of Beowulf; the oldest story written in the English language. In the tale we've learned of the heroics of Beowulf as he fights the horrible monster Grendel.
But how would Grendel's Mamma feel?
Imagine you are Grendel's Mamma. Imagine King Hrothgar has built a huge hall on the edge of your swamp and then throws a loud all night party. When you send your son over to tell the King to pipe down he has his arm ripped off and hung from the hall as a trophy!
How would you retell the story differently? Be sure to include dialogue and detail to make your story more entertaining.

All great civiliazations in history have come to an end. Some have lasted longer than others. The reasons for these falls are military, economic, and political. Will the US “fall” as Rome did? What lessons can we learn from the end of the Roman Empire? What can we do, if anything, to prevent a fall?
