Was King Arthur Real?

We all know about the famous King Arthur, his wizard Merlin, and his Knights of the Round Table. The legends of Arthur have been told and retold countless times since the Middle Ages. But did King Arthur and his kingdom of Camelot actually exist? Was King Arthur a real person? Use at least 3 examples to support your answer.

In Monty Pythons "Holy Grail," horse-less King Arthur has his trusted squire "Patsy" run behind him banging two halves of coconut together to sound like a horse.
