Bog Man

This week we learned about the "BOG MAN" who was found in the mud in Cheshire England. He had been hit in the head, strangled, and his body filled with mistletoe. Work men thought he had been murdered until it was discovered he was over 2000 years old! Archaeologists think he was a sacrifice to the gods. We can never be absolutely sure what happened in the past though. We can only piece together the clues and, with imagination, make an "edumacated" guess.

What do you think happened to the "BOG MAN?" What might he say if he could talk to us now?
Comments:
I think the "Bog Man" would tell us that lying at the bottom of a swamp for 2000 years is no fun and that he wished he'd had more than bread for his last meal.

We think that he would say:

"It was really boring lying at the bottom of a bog for 2000 years. I want revenge on that old loser who choked me/ sliced my neck/ hit me on my head! I'm very hungry. Please fetch me bread. Mines got a little stale over the years :). I'm really cold as well. Where are my clothes?"

He would say that being killed is no fun and that it hurts. He also would say that time flies while your dead.He would also say where is the nearest tree. Only he'd talk in celtic.

I think the bog man would say a bunch of stuff in Celtic like ;sdgfdg;ergndfg;hdfgmregj. In English he would mean that he is really ticked because he was strangled, beat over the head and had his throat cut. He would then kill us all untill the S.W.A.T. came because he wouldn't know any different. He would also be hungry because his last meal was a little bread 2000 years ago.Thats what I thnk would happen if the bog man was here today.

I think the "BOG MAN" would say . . . "I0 am so hungry I needed more than just bread for 2000 years." He would also say "Man my alarm clock must have busted when they threw me in." Or maybe he would say "Man it was awfully lonely down there in that hole for 2000 years

I think the bog man would say a bunch of non-school-appropriate words in Celtic. He would also redifine the saying "I could eat a horse," because he would be hungry after 2000 years. Also he would say that he was probably pretty darn bored sitting in the same spot in that muddy bog. Also he would need a bath

I THINK THE BOGMAN WOULD SAY SOMETHING IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE THAT WOULD TRANSLATE INTO ENGLISH AS: "I NEED TO USE BUSH!

I THINK THE BOG MAN WOULD SAY SOMETHING IN THE CELTIC LANGUAGE LIKE: I NEED MORE FOOD.

I THINK THE BOGMAN WOULD SAY SOMETHING LIKE: I'M STARVED!! LOOK HOW SKINNY I AM!!

OW

I WOULD ASK IF HE LIKED FEELING BLOATED.

I think the bog man would say "man i sure am hungry after sitting in that bog for 2000years. I am verry ticked at the peaple who killed me." then he would walk to ireland and find it with no Celts or snakes.

I think the bog man would say who killed him and if he even saw who killed him.also he would probalbly be very hungry because he has not eatin for 2000 years.also he might say lying there helpless for 2000 years is not very fun at all and it is very lonely.

i think he is going to tell us that lying 2000 years sucked because he could'nt see his famaly are no one and he did not have not have any food to eat beside's bread and he ud'nt get out because he would have drowed trying to reach the top of the bog

I think the "Bog Man" may have been sacrificed by his teacher for disrupting class. Perhaps he was studying to be a Druid.

He might tell us to Stay in School; Its sure better than the bottom of a bog!

The bog man would say being dead made me hungry and I need some food!

We think he would say in Old Welsch " I was an offereing to the gods.It was a custom that i eat only bread for my last meal.It was also custom that the hit me on the head, choke, and cut my neck. The elders said if i didn't do it my family would all get sent to the opposite of Valhalla and if any of my family members died in battle they would not get sent to Valhalla.I only did it for thier happiness in the afterlife"
P.S. Translation to english is not 100% accurate please forgive us if you notice any mistranslation.
Thank You,

We think that the Bog Man would say, " The druids attacked me in my home right after I had finished my yummy dinner of bread and milk. They told me that I would be a sacrifice and if I fought back my death would be more brutal. When i tried to run, they hit me on the head with a rock and stangled me with a rope. To get rid of my body, they threw me in the bog"

I think the bog man was murdered and was sacrafices to the gods and thrown in the mud.
If we could talk to him I think he would say how he got hurt or (if someone did murder him) I think he would tell who did it. I think it's all like a puzzle where whatever happened to the Bog Man is the missing piece and if we could bring the Bog Man back to life and and talk to him he could tell us what happened to then we would know what happened in Celtic History...

we think that the ''Bog Man'' would say what all changed during that 1 hundred years. then he would probably ask what year it is to see how long he has been down there. Why did the people that killed me throw me down in a swamp where a bunch of leaches, poisonous snakes, and a whole bunch of wacked up things,I just dont get you guys. Why did you guys hit me on my head, beak my arm, slit my throat?

i think the bog man would say who in the bog mans world whould hit me over the head and slice my neck and then put food in my stomach
